Data Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Argentina.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain ETL/ELT processes.

• Build and sustain robust and scalable data pipelines.

• Integrate data from various sources and systems.

• Transform, cleanse, and model data for further analysis.

• Design data models tailored to analytical and business needs.

• Implement quality controls, validation, and data monitoring.

• Optimize processing and storage processes.

• Work with large volumes of information and enhance process efficiency.

• Participate in the design and evolution of data architectures.

• Document processes, pipelines, and developed models.

• Collaborate with teams in Data Analytics, Data Science, Software Engineering, and business areas.

• Contribute to defining best practices for engineering, versioning, and deployment of data solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of prior experience in Data Engineering, BI Engineering, or related roles.

• Proficient in SQL.

• Experience in programming with Python or another data processing-oriented language.

• Experience in developing ETL/ELT processes and data pipelines.

• Knowledge of relational databases and/or analytical storage systems.

• Experience working with Cloud services (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

• Familiarity with data modeling concepts and Data Warehousing.

• Experience using version control tools, preferably Git.

• Knowledge of best practices in development, testing, and documentation.

• A plus: experience with Apache Spark/PySpark, Airflow or other orchestration tools, dbt, Databricks, Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift or similar, Data Lake/Data Warehouse/Lakehouse architectures, Kafka, CI/CD, DevOps, large data volumes, Data Governance, and Data Quality.
