This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Design and implement scalable data pipelines to process and integrate both structured and unstructured data.
• Create comprehensive data solutions, including Data Lake, Data Warehouse, and Data Mart, for analytics and operational systems.
• Utilize the UDP framework to unify data pipelines across various healthcare domains.
• Facilitate the integration of new data domains through standardized ingestion and transformation frameworks.
• Convert business requirements into scalable, high-performance data architectures.
• Enhance and optimize data access across distributed systems using data federation and virtualization tools.
• Develop reusable data assets for self-service analytics accessible across programs and business domains.
• Design and maintain enterprise dimensional data models, including fact tables, conformed dimensions, star schemas, snowflake schemas, and analytical data marts.
• Convert business and reporting needs into scalable analytical data structures and semantic data models.
• Create and manage semantic layers, curated datasets, and business views for enterprise reporting and analytics.
• Design, develop, and maintain Power BI semantic models, datasets, dashboards, and reports for both internal and external stakeholders.
• Generate and optimize DAX measures, calculated columns, KPIs, and business metrics for operational and strategic reporting.
• Apply Power BI best practices, including Row-Level Security, deployment pipelines, performance optimization, and governance standards.
• Collaborate with business users and subject matter experts to collect reporting requirements and provide actionable analytics solutions.
• Ensure uniformity of business definitions, metrics, and calculations across enterprise reporting and analytics platforms.
• Develop and uphold data governance standards for consistency, accuracy, and regulatory compliance, including HIPAA.
• Implement data lineage, metadata management, and auditability practices using tools like AWS Glue Data Catalog.
• Establish and oversee data stewardship frameworks to enhance data quality and trust.
• Improve system performance through data partitioning, indexing, and compression strategies.
• Safeguard data security through access controls, encryption, and secure design practices.
• Proficiency in enterprise data modeling tools (e.g., Erwin, SQL Data Modeler) and a strong background in dimensional modeling methodologies such as Star Schema, Snowflake Schema, Fact and Dimension design, and semantic modeling.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
• Over 8 years of experience in data engineering, emphasizing data governance and solution design.
• Expertise in creating scalable data architectures for enterprise reporting.
• Familiarity with MLOps and AI data pipelines utilizing cloud-native services like AWS SageMaker, Glue ML, or Databricks for feature engineering and model deployment.
• Advanced knowledge of data governance tools and frameworks, including AWS Glue Data Catalog, to facilitate enterprise-wide lineage, metadata, and compliance practices.
• Strong comprehension of cloud data platforms and services, particularly AWS (Redshift, S3, EMR, Lambda) and hybrid integrations with Azure Synapse or similar modern data warehouse technologies.
• Proficient in programming and scripting languages (Python, SQL, PySpark) for building, testing, and optimizing scalable data solutions.
• Advanced experience in developing Power BI semantic models, datasets, dashboards, reports, DAX measures, Power Query transformations, Row-Level Security, and performance optimization.
• Experience with Tableau is a plus.
• Excellent analytical and troubleshooting abilities with a keen attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills to effectively convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple initiatives concurrently.
• Certifications in cloud, database, and programming are advantageous.
