Data Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Analyze raw data obtained from diverse sources.

• Create and maintain datasets, schemas, and models.

• Enhance data quality and operational efficiency.

• Document data flows and mappings comprehensively.

• Collaborate with data analysts, scientists, and other relevant stakeholders.

• Generate internal and external reports.

• Assist in the development of the data dictionary.

• Evaluate datasets to ensure alignment with organizational goals.

• Provide guidance on updated reporting methods to capture data through mapping and convert it into usable, interpretable formats.

• Introduce innovation and creativity into legacy technologies and programs to facilitate change.

• Execute related tasks as assigned within the scope of practice.

• Support essential operations that require a flexible schedule for 24/7/365-day operations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.

• At least five (5) years of experience in a data engineering role; management experience is a plus.

• Familiarity with data structures, algorithms, and programming languages, especially SQL, Python, and R.

• Experience with PowerBI.

• Background in data engineering, development, or analysis.

• Proficient in the Azure platform.

• Understanding of data security and compliance, including data encryption, access control, data masking, and the secure handling of PII.

• Proficiency in database systems, tools, and frameworks.

• Strong data visualization, communication, and presentation abilities.

• Excellent computer skills in MS Office, including Excel, Word, and Teams.

• Capable of typing at least 45 words per minute.

• Ability to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance.

• Favorable credit check required for cleared positions.

• Must successfully pass a background investigation and drug screening.

• May need to fulfill position-specific requirements, such as a DOT exam, vaccinations, CPR, or flu shot.

• Must be a US Citizen.

• Ability to write, type, and effectively use a telephone system.

• Capable of attending meetings with managers and colleagues.
