Data Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Chile.

📋 Description

• Convert raw data into reliable business data assets

• Design, implement, and maintain robust and scalable pipelines

• Redesign, develop, and optimize pipelines for data ingestion and processing from Travel partners

• Build and implement observability and quality monitoring in ingestion processes

• Design cost-optimal data flows with clear ownership and single sources of truth

• Reduce operational burden, empower business teams, and enable value for product teams

• Develop automated scripts and auditing processes for data in BigQuery

• Ensure data completeness, coherence, and consistency, generating timely alerts

• Design and enhance pipelines that extract raw data from APIs, SFTP, and orchestration platforms to the Data Lake

• Configure automated monitoring to halt synchronization flows of anomalous or empty audiences

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficiency in SQL

• Knowledge of Cloud components (GCP)

• Familiarity with DevOps practices

• Prompt Engineering skills

• Understanding of the Medallion Architecture

• Knowledge of Data Governance and Compliance practices

• Proficiency in Python

• Query optimization skills

• API & Services experience

• Familiarity with visualization tools: Looker Studio - Grafana

• Ability to adapt technical and non-technical messages based on the audience

• Capability to collaborate with various roles and squads

• Ability to lead innovative solutions to complex data problems

• Capacity to mentor colleagues in data engineering practices

• Critical thinking skills and evaluation of technical and strategic decisions

• Commitment to continuous learning and integration of new practices and tools

• Understanding of business, end-to-end journeys, core KPIs/OKRs, and high-impact use cases
