This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Italy, +2 more countries.
• Take charge of the entire lifecycle of data products while serving as a technical leader.
• Work in close collaboration with Data Scientists to implement real-time pricing algorithms for millions of users.
• Assume full responsibility for data pipelines in the Pricing Analytics domain.
• Design and construct systems to address highly complex or vaguely defined challenges.
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to guide the design, development, optimization, and deployment of ML and ML-based solutions.
• Oversee the infrastructure supporting the Pricing algorithm and ensure the performance of the pricing ML system.
• Lead initiatives across teams to utilize and enhance ML infrastructure for model development, training, and deployment.
• Produce well-structured, thoroughly tested, readable, and maintainable production-quality code.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related quantitative discipline.
• Advanced proficiency in SQL and Python.
• Extensive hands-on experience in modeling enterprise Data Warehouses using dbt, including Kimball methodology, dimensional modeling, star schemas, data testing, and data lineage.
• Strong familiarity with the Databricks ecosystem, encompassing Delta Lake, PySpark, Unity Catalog, SQL Endpoints, and Serverless compute.
• Significant experience with AWS cloud infrastructure, including S3, IAM, KMS, and DataSync.
• Proven experience in writing and orchestrating complex production DAGs using Apache Airflow or MWAA.
• Experience in managing deployments utilizing Docker/Kubernetes.
• Proficiency with CI/CD pipelines, Git, GitHub Actions, and Terraform.
• Practical experience in building, optimizing, and maintaining enterprise dashboards using Tableau, PowerBI, or Databricks SQL Dashboards.
• Regular use of AI tools such as Claude and Databricks AI features.
• Strong understanding of GDPR requirements, including PII masking, access control policies, data retention, and auditing through Unity Catalog.
• Analytical mindset capable of converting complex business requirements into scalable data marts and KPI metrics.
• Ability to clearly communicate intricate technical concepts to business stakeholders and domain teams.
• Proficiency in English, both written and spoken, is essential.
