Data Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Assist in the sourcing, transformation, ingestion, and analysis of data.

• Create ETL logic utilizing Informatica Data Management Cloud (IDMC), Control-M, and Snowflake.

• Utilize Control-M to establish automated workflows, initiate processes, transfer files, and ingest data.

• Construct robust data products and processes within the Snowflake platform.

• Perform data management tasks such as creating, loading, transforming, cleansing, processing, analyzing, and visualizing data.

• Collaborate with team members and business partners to provide reusable, scalable, rapid, and maintainable technical solutions across extensive datasets.

• Engage with SQL and various development technologies.

• Acquire knowledge of new and existing tools, resources, and methodologies.

• Aid in the implementation of architecture and solutions.

• Write and deliver code that supports both current and future deployments.

• Offer guidance, mentorship, or subject matter expertise as required.

• Undertake additional responsibilities, duties, and projects as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree with a focus on technology, engineering, or mathematics.

• A combination of education and experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree.

• More than 2 years of relevant professional experience.

• Familiarity with data structures and ETL tools (e.g., Informatica, Informatica Data Management Cloud).

• Experience with SQL Server, Oracle, and/or Snowflake.

• Proficiency in writing SQL queries and interpreting data models.

• Background in database modeling.

• Experience in the financial services or insurance sector.

• Strong analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving abilities.

• Excellent interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Quick and adaptable learner.

• Capability to gather, organize, analyze, and disseminate large amounts of information with attention to detail and precision.

• Talented in managing multiple tasks and deadlines concurrently.

• Flexibility and a tolerance for uncertainty in a fast-paced business environment.

• Basic understanding of object-oriented analysis and design.

• Consistent and punctual attendance.

• Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time.
