This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland.
• Design, develop, and manage cloud-based software and data solutions that support dentsu's marketing offerings.
• Work alongside product and client solution teams to convert business requirements into application logic, services, identity functions, and data products.
• Utilize Agile methodologies and AI coding tools to produce secure, tested, reviewed, and thoroughly documented software and data capabilities.
• Convert requirements into technical designs, testable modules, and reusable components.
• Investigate business domains, data sources, system relationships, and attributes; enhance data quality and lineage.
• Implement software development lifecycle practices, including solution design, implementation, automated testing, code review, observability, and CI/CD.
• Create and implement business logic, APIs, services, integrations, and data-processing components.
• Develop unit, integration, and data-quality testing.
• Optimize algorithms and application logic for identity matching, decision-making, and validation.
• Enhance application performance, reliability, and cost-efficiency; troubleshoot defects across code, services, data stores, and distributed workflows.
• Address production issues and communicate status, risks, and timelines to stakeholders.
• Collect requirements and generate technical documentation.
• Engage in knowledge sharing, code reviews, and Agile meetings.
• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a similar field.
• Over 2 years of progressively responsible experience in software or data engineering roles.
• Strong SQL skills and a good understanding of both relational and non-relational data modeling.
• Proficient in at least one programming language, with a preference for Python.
• Experience with cloud applications, databases, and data warehouses, preferably Snowflake.
• Practical knowledge of modern AI coding assistants and agent-based tools, applied securely with proper validation and review.
• Familiarity with Agile delivery processes, Git-based source control, CI/CD, automated testing, and issue tracking software like JIRA.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
• Understanding of cloud platforms and cloud-native security and operations, with AWS preferred; GCP or Azure are acceptable.
• Knowledge of workflow orchestration or event-driven processing; experience with Airflow and Snowflake streams/tasks is a plus.
• Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, software design, debugging, and fundamentals of distributed systems.
• Basic skills in Unix/Linux command line operations.
• Experience handling PII data is advantageous.
