Data Engineer – Asset Management

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Engage in strategic initiatives that include migration, integration, automation, and enhancements to processes.

• Design, implement, and sustain data pipelines that connect OMS/EMS, risk and performance systems, internal platforms, custodians, and fund administrators.

• Create data pipelines that can uncover business opportunities from both internal and external data sources.

• Develop and uphold highly reliable, high-performance ETL/ELT processes.

• Create integrations through APIs, SFTP, messaging, or proprietary connectors.

• Document processes, data workflows, and technical solutions comprehensively.

• Collaborate closely with business analysts to establish calculation rules, granularity, data quality standards, and key fields.

• Recognize and implement ongoing improvements aimed at enhancing efficiency, performance, governance, and cost-effectiveness.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related discipline.

• Proven experience in data engineering within the financial services sector.

• In-depth knowledge of Databricks.

• Experience in optimizing ETL processes and configuring clusters.

• Proficiency in SQL and Python for data manipulation and automation tasks.

• Advanced understanding of data modeling and data architecture principles.

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to address complex issues related to data and technology systems.

• Excellent communication abilities and a proven track record of effective teamwork.

• Preferred: experience with investment system implementation or migration projects.
