This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida, +4 more states.
• Supervise Carrier's responsibilities in data center construction initiatives.
• Direct the startup, commissioning, and field modification activities for Carrier air- and water-cooled chillers in newly built data centers.
• Create and oversee detailed project plans, ensuring adherence to timelines and budget constraints.
• Monitor and evaluate KPIs to assess project performance.
• Facilitate progress meetings with stakeholders, addressing design, material delivery, and labor timelines.
• Guarantee that projects achieve or surpass established profit margin objectives.
• Procure and monitor chiller components required for warranty fulfillment.
• Collaborate with sales teams, primary contractors, and end-users to meet project requirements and deliverables.
• Act as Carrier's main point of contact with clients, commissioning authorities, general contractors, and subcontractors.
• Address client concerns and ensure satisfaction with project delivery.
• Interpret and implement mechanical, electrical, and architectural drawings.
• Ensure adherence to industry standards, codes, and project specifications.
• Utilize Building Automation System integration expertise to guarantee control functionality.
• Manage change orders, mitigate scope creep, and safeguard project integrity.
• Anticipate monthly revenue by estimating project completion expenses.
• Oversee project documentation, warranty processing, and factory-generated service information with Service Engineering.
• Uphold stringent job safety protocols throughout all projects.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• 5+ years of experience in project management coordinating schedules, deliverables, and activities with multiple stakeholders, contractors, vendors, and/or customers; OR 4+ years of experience aiding mechanical, electrical, controls, commissioning, construction, or field service projects.
• 2+ years of experience reading and understanding blueprints and technical mechanical systems documentation.
• Willingness and ability to travel up to 60% of the time within the USA as business needs dictate.
• Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering; or a Master's degree/MBA.
• Preferred: Experience in the data center industry with water- or air-cooled chillers.
• Preferred: Knowledge of commercial HVAC systems, including centrifugal chillers, Cooling Distribution Unit systems, and airside equipment.
• Preferred: Project Management Professional certification.
• Preferred: Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design certification or experience with Building Automation Systems.
• Strong capability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a dynamic work environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
