Data Analytics Intern

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Leverage data to address strategic inquiries and enhance business strategy and rapid expansion.

• Organize, visualize, and interpret extensive datasets associated with performance marketing channels.

• Perform in-depth analyses.

• Develop regression or segmentation models.

• Construct automated dashboards and funnels for internal teams.

• Produce reports to foster business growth and derive strategic insights from product, user, and operational data.

• Encourage a data-oriented culture and assist in strategy and decision-making.

• Access, cleanse, and organize raw data for teams and stakeholders.

• Collaborate with full-time developers and engage in team meetings, Slack discussions, and social gatherings.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficiency in extracting, cleansing, and manipulating large volumes of complex data into clear business insights.

• Competence in SQL query writing.

• Experience in data analysis using Python and/or R.

• Familiarity with analytics tools such as Looker, Amplitude, DBT, and Snowflake.

• Strong grasp of common statistical methods and their practical applications.

• Capability to work autonomously while being open to mentorship and guidance.

• Ability to respond to stakeholder requests and provide valuable insights.

• Ownership of tasks and excellent problem-solving skills.

• Comfort in navigating ambiguous or shifting priorities.

• Understanding of how data insights relate to overarching business objectives.

• Candidates may be located anywhere in Canada.

• Minimum 6-hour overlap with the Eastern Time Zone is required.

• Availability for a 40-hour work week is essential.

• Must be present during core working hours, 9/10 am–5/6 pm EST, Monday to Friday, with some flexibility.

• Must reside in the country where their educational institution is located for the entire duration of the internship.

• Currently enrolled in a school, college, or university is mandatory.

• Submission of an unofficial grade report is required.

• The internship must be part of an academic program or pursued independently.

• Disclosure of current academic performance, educational institution, number of completed internships/work terms, and current year of study is necessary.
