Data & Analytics Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Design and develop data pipelines and ETL processes across Hickory's systems.

• Create and maintain data models for reporting and analytics purposes.

• Write and optimize SQL for data pipelines, reporting layers, and ad hoc analysis.

• Construct and sustain Power BI dashboards and reports.

• Design effective and scalable data processes utilizing data structures and algorithms.

• Implement version control and CI/CD practices in data pipeline and analytics code.

• Leverage AI tools to enhance data engineering, analysis, and reporting.

• Contribute to the design of data warehouses, database administration, or relevant solution architecture.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to comprehend reporting needs and convert them into dependable data solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3 to 5 years of relevant experience.

• Proficient SQL skills, including the ability to write and optimize complex queries across extensive datasets.

• Strong background in data modeling.

• Practical experience in building data pipelines and ETL processes.

• Experience in creating data visualizations and dashboards, preferably using Power BI.

• Solid understanding of data structures and algorithms.

• Hands-on experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines.

• Familiarity with AI tools and comfort in utilizing AI-assisted technologies.

• Analytical mindset, with curiosity and attention to detail, along with strong problem-solving skills.

• Excellent communication abilities.

• Capability to work independently.

• Exposure to Azure, data warehousing, database administration, or solution architecture is a plus, though not mandatory.
