This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Oversee Acorns’ marketing measurement strategy, focusing on experimentation, forecasting, and incrementality testing.
• Collaborate with Marketing leaders and external agencies to establish test parameters, prioritize initiatives, and define success metrics.
• Design and execute geo holdout tests and other incrementality methodologies from start to finish.
• Work alongside the Data Science team to ensure current priors and data inputs are utilized for the MMM.
• Establish benchmarks for sample sizes, statistical power, confidence intervals, test design, and analysis following experiments.
• Create marketing performance and expenditure-efficiency forecasting models that take into account seasonality, channel saturation, and macro trends.
• Query large-scale platforms like Databricks and BigQuery using marketing and media data sources.
• Identify inefficiencies across channels, analyze anomalies, and formulate strategic hypotheses.
• Employ AI tools and agent-based workflows to streamline data extraction and automate repetitive analyses.
• Mentor junior and mid-level analysts, perform code reviews, and promote a data-driven culture.
• Convert marketing measurement insights into long-term budget and channel strategies.
• 5+ years of experience in marketing analytics, media measurement, or a related discipline.
• Practical experience in designing and conducting geo holdout tests or similar geo-based incrementality methodologies.
• Proficient in building marketing forecasting models, such as spend/response, MMM, or channel-level forecasting.
• Extensive knowledge of experimentation methodologies, including A/B testing, hypothesis testing, sample estimation, and statistical power analysis within marketing settings.
• Advanced skills in SQL and Python in cloud data environments like Databricks and BigQuery.
• Practical experience with marketing measurement tools and platforms, including MMM/incrementality platforms and reporting tools from ad platforms such as Google and Meta.
• Strong understanding of marketing and customer psychology, particularly regarding acquisition and retention effects.
• High level of autonomy and project management skills for handling complex analytics projects.
