This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Deploy, configure, and manage pixels, tags, and scripts within Google Tag Manager.
• Collaborate with the Web Services team to develop and maintain data layers.
• Oversee the GTM container structure, triggers, and variables in a multi-client setting.
• Implement server-side tagging to enhance measurement accuracy and longevity.
• Connect website interactions to Meta, Google Ads, TikTok, LinkedIn, and Snapchat through browser pixels and Conversion APIs.
• Set up standard and custom conversion events for leads, applications, and inquiries.
• Configure and sustain GA4 event tracking along with key events from ad clicks through form submissions and CRM entries.
• Collaborate with Paid Media and Web Services teams to initiate campaigns and landing pages with verified tracking.
• Conduct audits and resolve issues related to broken tags, dropped events, and data inconsistencies across client websites.
• Diagnose discrepancies between ad platforms, GA4, and CRM to determine root causes.
• Perform routine tag health audits across the client portfolio.
• Validate events in platform Events Managers and GA4 DebugView prior to campaign launches.
• Manage cookie consent banners and configure consent modes.
• Ensure tracking implementations comply with GDPR, CCPA, and other privacy regulations.
• Monitor changes in platforms and browsers that may impact tracking durability and propose adjustments.
• Maintain tagging plans, naming conventions, and quality assurance checklists.
• Translate business requirements into functional tracking solutions.
• Document technical setups for internal teams.
• A minimum of 3 years of practical experience in tracking or web analytics within a marketing or agency environment.
• Intermediate proficiency with GTM containers, trigger and variable creation, data layer implementation, and server-side tagging.
• Hands-on experience in planning, deploying, and troubleshooting conversion tracking across major advertising platforms.
• Familiarity with pixel and Conversion API (CAPI) configurations for Meta, Google Ads, TikTok, and LinkedIn.
• Practical GA4 experience, including event configuration, key events, and DebugView.
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS selectors, and basic JavaScript.
• Skilled use of GTM Preview mode and browser developer tools, including the inspect element and network tab.
• Understanding of GDPR, CCPA, and consent management platforms.
• Ability to comprehend how tracking decisions influence Paid Media performance KPIs.
• An analytical, solution-focused mindset with strong communication skills.
• Experience in education marketing is especially valued.
• An interest in utilizing AI or LLM tools for tag management audits, data layer validation, tracking troubleshooting, server-side tag configuration, conversion modeling, or technical documentation is a bonus.
