This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
β’ Assist with an engagement for Illinois Health and Human Services.
β’ Analyze current business processes, develop process flows, and pinpoint areas for enhancement.
β’ Assess new processes through data analysis.
β’ Collaborate with stakeholders to collect and document business requirements.
β’ Partner with management to prioritize business and informational needs.
β’ Generate business requirements, functional specifications, and process maps.
β’ Coordinate with business units to ensure adherence to regulations and standards.
β’ Collect, organize, and analyze data from primary and secondary sources.
β’ Recognize trends and patterns within complex data sets.
β’ Create and maintain reports and dashboards in Power BI and other reporting tools.
β’ Share findings with non-technical audiences.
β’ Review, filter, and cleanse data; identify and rectify data issues.
β’ Collaborate with IT and business teams to design and implement solutions.
β’ Develop solutions for technical challenges.
β’ Create and implement test plans.
β’ Manage user acceptance testing and resolve any issues.
β’ Develop PowerPoint training modules, job aids, and supplementary materials.
β’ Update training content as processes evolve.
β’ Facilitate meetings, presentations, and workshops with business and IT stakeholders.
β’ Utilize SharePoint, SharePoint Lists, and Teams to organize and track work.
β’ Organize and oversee complex work efforts.
β’ Stay updated with industry trends and best practices.
β’ Identify opportunities for process improvement and suggest solutions.
β’ Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
β’ 5-10 years of combined experience as a Data Analyst and Business Analyst.
β’ Strong proficiency in reporting tools like Business Objects and SQL.
β’ Experience with reporting tools such as Power BI and the capability to present findings effectively.
β’ Ability to identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns within complex data sets.
β’ Technical expertise in data models, database design and development, and data mining techniques.
β’ Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate large volumes of information with meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
β’ Capability to filter and cleanse data and identify and resolve code issues.
β’ Experience in developing training modules in PowerPoint for business processes.
β’ Proficiency in SharePoint, SharePoint Lists, and Teams.
β’ Practical experience with the Microsoft tools suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, PowerPoint).
β’ Experience in a State Government office with Health and Human Services data is preferred.
β’ Familiarity with IT development practices, including the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.
β’ Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or an equivalent certification is a plus.
β’ Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst certification is a plus.
