Data Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Utah.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and publish Power BI reports utilizing Fabric semantic models in both DirectLake and Import modes.

• Convert business requirements into logical data models and user-friendly, well-labeled report formats.

• Write and enhance DAX measures that drive business KPIs.

• Collect, document, and refine reporting requirements in collaboration with business stakeholders.

• Implement row-level and object-level security within semantic models.

• Verify reports against source data to ensure accuracy.

• Develop certified datasets and reusable templates for self-service analytics.

• Engage in peer reviews of reports, DAX logic, and model designs.

• Communicate findings and collaborate across teams to convert data into actionable insights.

• Utilize AI tools to enhance analysis and expedite delivery.

⛳️ Requirements

• 1 to 3 years of experience in creating Power BI reports and dashboards within a professional environment.

• Practical experience with Microsoft Fabric, including data modeling, is essential.

• Proven experience with AI, demonstrating the use of AI tools in your responsibilities.

• Proficient in DAX for measures, calculated columns, and time-intelligence functions.

• Strong understanding of data modeling principles, including star schemas, relationships, and cardinality.

• SQL skills for querying relational data sources and validating the data behind reports.

• Familiarity with Power Query and M for transformations in Import mode.

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams to present data and resolve issues.

• A bachelor's degree in a relevant field, or equivalent experience.

• DP-600 Microsoft Fabric Analytics Engineer Associate certification is preferred and must be obtained within 12 months of employment.

• Experience related to membership or loyalty programs is a significant advantage.
