Data Acquisition Specialist – External Data

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Execute tasks related to the definition, configuration, and ingestion of External Data Streams.

• Evaluate external data collection requirements in accordance with protocols and plan activities for setting up external data streams.

• Collaborate with key data stakeholders to define the objectives of data collection and the requirements for data transfer.

• Generate change requests for the establishment of new testing concepts or data structures.

• Prepare trial-specific Data Transfer Agreements (tsDTA’s) that accurately reflect study requirements.

• Ensure that data transfer frequencies meet the agreed-upon requirements.

• Coordinate with external data providers to achieve alignment and agreement on tsDTA.

• Convert medical and scientific concepts into data mapping instructions.

• Conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT) of test data transfers to verify accuracy and consistency.

• Implement mechanisms for data transfer pertaining to external data streams.

• Oversee the availability and accuracy of external data streams.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, ideally in Computer Science.

• At least 3 years of experience in managing data to support clinical research.

• Familiarity with external data such as Safety Lab, PK, Simple Biomarkers, ECG, etc.

• Experience collaborating with external data providers in a clinical study environment.

• Proven track record in developing data transfer agreements.

• Experience in clinical trial processes.

• Background in working within highly diverse teams in clinical research; cross-functional, global, multiregional.

• Understanding of SDTM.

• Knowledge of GCP/ICH guidelines.

• Proficient written and verbal communication skills in English.
