Dari Interpreter

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Facilitate effective communication between speakers of Dari and English.

• Process information swiftly and accurately while maintaining professionalism.

• Professionally handle calls in accordance with the interpreter’s code of conduct.

• Familiarize yourself with industry-specific terminology, particularly in healthcare and medical fields.

• Engage in internal professional development training.

• Communicate and report to the team leader consistently.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficiency in both English and Dari.

• Reside in the United States.

• At least 3 years of experience in interpretation.

• Exceptional listening, retention, and note-taking abilities.

• Capacity to convey accurate concepts and meanings following established interpretation protocols, avoiding omissions or additions.

• Skill in clarifying cultural concepts to prevent miscommunication, with the client’s permission or request.

• 90% proficiency in English.

• Reliable wired internet connection.

• USB wired headset required.

• Compatible with Windows 10 or Mac operating systems.

• A quiet and secure workspace is necessary.

• Language testing and background checks may be mandated depending on location.
