D365 Data Migration Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Netherlands.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the entire data migration lifecycle for Dynamics 365 F&O and CE where applicable, encompassing planning, execution, cutover, post-migration validation, and hypercare.

• Spearhead data discovery, profiling, mapping, cleansing, transformation, and validation alongside functional and technical teams.

• Coordinate efforts among client teams, HSO delivery teams, and ISVs, relaying updates on progress, risks, and decisions.

• Define the migration scope, strategy, timelines, resource allocation, and risk management in accordance with project governance and commercial considerations.

• Establish and uphold data governance standards, including lineage, controls, security, and retention.

• Provide guidance on Master Data Management setup and initiatives for data quality.

• Lead data engineering teams in designing and executing ETL processes and quality assurance checks.

• Manage cutover processes and reconciliation tasks.

• Write migration scripts and queries using T-SQL.

• Utilize Python to automate repetitive tasks and validations where suitable.

• Leverage Microsoft Fabric and contemporary data platforms.

• Facilitate the migration of legacy data for analytical purposes such as AI and BI.

• Engage in pre-sales and envisioning initiatives.

• Legal authorization to work in the country of residence within the European region.

• Sponsorship is only available for candidates located in the Netherlands.

• Extensive hands-on experience with data migration for Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (F&O).

• Proficiency in T-SQL, including advanced queries, stored procedures, performance optimization, and reconciliation.

• Solid understanding of data migration principles: profiling, mapping, cleansing, validation, and cutover.

• Experience in managing data teams across various streams: Migration, Analytics, Integration.

• Capability to manage commercially sensitive information and make related decisions.

• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related discipline.

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to manage stakeholders across technical and business contexts.

• Senior consulting presence with the capacity to coach, challenge, and align cross-functional teams.

• Analytical mindset with a detail-oriented approach, strong problem-solving skills, and a focus on quality.

• Methodical delivery approach with the ability to plan, execute, and govern based on clear milestones and acceptance criteria.

• Proficient in English, both spoken and written.
