Cybersecurity Program Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Oversee and direct cybersecurity initiatives encompassing governance, risk management, compliance, and operational activities.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, security stakeholders, and external partners.

• Create and sustain program roadmaps, timelines, and reporting dashboards.

• Assist in the formulation of policies, security controls, and compliance documentation.

• Monitor progress relative to security initiatives, service level agreements (SLAs), and regulatory obligations.

• Organize meetings, status updates, and briefings for executive leadership.

• Identify vulnerabilities, risks, and dependencies within cybersecurity processes.

• Aid in the coordination of incident responses and provide updates for post-incident programs.

• Ensure compliance with NIST Cybersecurity Framework (CSF), ISO 27001, CIS, and enterprise risk management standards.

• Enhance Apogee’s integrated risk practice through systematic analysis and precise documentation.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3–7+ years of experience in managing cybersecurity programs, governance, risk management, compliance (GRC), or security operations.

• Deep understanding of cybersecurity frameworks, such as NIST, ISO, CIS, and SOC 2.

• Proven experience in managing cross-functional security initiatives or enterprise-level programs.

• Exceptional communication skills with the ability to convey technical concepts to leadership effectively.

• Strong organizational skills, documentation capabilities, and meticulous attention to detail.

• Capacity to handle multiple priorities in a remote and fast-paced work environment.

• Familiarity with risk management, compliance, or incident response procedures.

• Possession of PMP, CISSP, CISM, CGRC, or similar certifications is advantageous.
