Cybersecurity Assessment Lead – Intel

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Assist in the planning, coordination, execution, and evaluation of operational cybersecurity assessments.

• Act as a liaison between the assessment team and the operational and exercise organizations that are being supported.

• Coordinate the objectives of assessments, data requirements, schedules, and collection efforts with the involved organizations.

• Gather and analyze technical and operational cybersecurity data during assessments.

• Detect vulnerabilities, cybersecurity shortcomings, and cyber resilience challenges that impact DoD missions and systems.

• Conduct post-event data reduction, correlation, and analysis.

• Investigate issues related to cybersecurity manning, training, equipment, policy, and procedures.

• Create observations, findings, recommendations, and supporting documentation for assessments.

• Assist in the preparation of assessment reports, event debriefs, trip reports, briefings, and other program deliverables.

• Engage in working groups aimed at enhancing cybersecurity assessment methodologies, guidance, and standardized processes.

• Produce briefings, recommendations, and analytical materials to support improvements at the program level for assessments.

• Collaborate with Service, Combatant Command, and other DoD stakeholders.

• Facilitate Business Development efforts, including technical interviews, technical documentation, proposal writing support, and reviews of proposal color.

• Assist with supplementary cybersecurity assessment activities in alignment with program priorities.


⛳️ Requirements

• Active TS/SCI clearance is required.

• Bachelor’s degree with 4 years of relevant experience or an Associate’s degree with 8 years of relevant experience is needed.

• A total of 10 years of directly related specialized experience.

• Experience in supporting DOT&E cyber operational assessments.

• Background in assisting large-scale exercises.

• Strong skills in stakeholder engagement.

• Ability to remain seated at a desk and work on a computer for extended periods.

• Capability to lift weights of up to 10–15 pounds at a time.

• Willingness to travel 20%–30% of the time.
