Cybersecurity Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Define and evaluate enterprise security architectures that support Zero Trust, cloud-based, hybrid, and on-premises environments.

• Create architecture roadmaps, reference patterns, security requirements, and transition plans.

• Assess system designs, integrations, data flows, identity patterns, and control dependencies for security and interoperability vulnerabilities.

• Provide guidance to technical teams and leadership on security architecture choices, trade-offs, and remediation priorities.

• Generate architecture diagrams, design documentation, and presentations suitable for executives.

• Assist the Department of Veterans Affairs COSE program by delivering support in cybersecurity operations, engineering, architecture, risk, and compliance.

⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in cybersecurity, computer science, information systems, engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.

• A minimum of ten years of experience in enterprise security architecture, systems architecture, or cybersecurity engineering.

• Proven expertise in Zero Trust, identity and access management, network segmentation, cloud security, and security frameworks such as NIST and RMF.

• Experience in designing or assessing security architecture within a large enterprise or government setting.

• Capability to articulate complex architecture decisions effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Selected applicants will undergo a security investigation and may need to fulfill eligibility criteria for access to classified information.
