Cybersecurity Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee and facilitate the security accreditation process for information systems.

• Create, maintain, and evaluate security authorization packages.

• Execute security control assessments in line with RMF and relevant security standards.

• Work collaboratively with system owners, engineers, and stakeholders to put security controls into practice.

• Conduct security risk assessments and propose mitigation strategies.

• Supervise systems to ensure compliance with cybersecurity policies and standards.

• Manage Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms) and monitor remediation efforts.

• Assist in continuous monitoring efforts, encompassing vulnerability management and security reporting.

• Generate documentation for Assessment & Authorization (A&A) tasks.

• Engage in internal and external cybersecurity audits.

• Keep abreast of current cybersecurity threats, regulatory obligations, and best practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).

• 3–7 years of experience in cybersecurity, information assurance, or security compliance.

• Experience in implementing or supporting the NIST Risk Management Framework (RMF).

• Familiarity with NIST SP 800-37, NIST SP 800-53, NIST SP 800-171, FISMA; FedRAMP is preferred.

• Proficiency with vulnerability assessment tools such as Tenable, Nessus, or ACAS.

• Strong knowledge of security controls, risk assessment, and compliance documentation.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

• At least one of the following Information Security Certifications: CISSP, CISM, Security+, CAP, CGRC, or CEH.

• Capability to obtain a Secret level Security Clearance.

• Preferred: active Secret clearance; familiarity with cloud security; experience in supporting continuous monitoring programs; RMF, A&A, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, vulnerability management, security compliance, risk assessment, incident response fundamentals, security documentation, and knowledge/experience in Microsoft Windows & Linux administration.
