This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina, +2 more states.
• Act as a reliable partner for Optiv’s clients, providing guidance on security solutions.
• Create practical, defensible, and scalable Secure Networking solutions encompassing Cloud, Network, SASE, and OT environments.
• Engage in the Field Center of Excellence to promote Optiv services and key technology alliances.
• Collaborate with service delivery teams to ensure the provision of consistent domain-specialty materials.
• Formulate security strategies and roadmaps that align with business objectives, budgets, and ROI metrics.
• Sustain advisory relationships with client stakeholders and foster thought leadership.
• Maintain productive relationships with relevant Optiv technology partners.
• Develop comprehensive security programs, gather requirements, select appropriate technologies, coordinate demonstrations, and execute security technology evaluations.
• Collaborate with internal Optiv teams to ensure client expectations are matched with the solution portfolio, guaranteeing service delivery excellence.
• Relay client feedback to internal teams to facilitate continuous improvement.
• Partake in account planning, forecasting, and pipeline management activities.
• Oversee and prioritize proposals, business proposals, contracts, and responses to RFI/RFPs.
• Engage in ongoing technical, security, and professional development.
• BS/BA degree or equivalent relevant work experience.
• At least five years of experience in an information security role.
• Preferably experience as a consulting advisor, architect, or engineer in planning, building, and managing secure Network, OT, and Cloud environments.
• Familiarity with Network, OT, and Cloud Security technology partners and technologies such as firewalls, segmentation, ZTNA, visibility, SASE, CNAPP, WAF, DDoS protection, load balancing, and posture management.
• Highly motivated self-starter capable of working independently without daily oversight.
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic and responsive team environment.
• Comprehensive understanding of the current threat landscape, vulnerabilities, and defensive measures.
• Strong business and technical acumen.
• Proficiency in leading technology-focused discussions.
• Excellent presentation, written, and oral communication skills, including facilitation of whiteboard sessions.
• Skilled in sales techniques, encompassing prospecting, meeting facilitation, probing questions, handling objections, relationship building, solution positioning, and closing sales.
• High attention to detail in reviewing SOWs, quotes, and client deliverables.
• Broad knowledge of security-related topics and a commitment to continuous expertise growth across other portfolio domains.
• Vendor-specific certifications primarily focused on the specialty.
• Capability to perform additional tasks as directed or required.
