Cyber Vulnerability Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Perform risk assessments to identify and categorize threats and vulnerabilities within systems and networks.

• Examine logs and security events to detect unusual patterns and abnormal behavior.

• Utilize forensic analysis tools to investigate cybersecurity incidents.

• Carry out comprehensive investigations.

• Formulate and execute action plans to remediate or mitigate vulnerabilities.

• Collaborate with IT teams to deploy patches, fixes, and enhance security measures.

• Keep abreast of security updates and patches provided by vendors.

• Produce regular reports on cybersecurity status and communicate metrics to leadership.

• Evaluate security processes and procedures, suggesting and implementing enhancements.

• Prioritize and recommend actions to address critical vulnerabilities.

• Influence the adoption of security practices and processes to ensure compliance and protection.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, cybersecurity, or a related discipline.

• Familiarity with information security regulations, such as GDPR, HIPAA, PCI, and DSS, is advantageous.

• Experience in identifying, assessing, and quantifying cyber threats and vulnerabilities.

• Practical knowledge of risk analysis tools and methodologies, including SWOT analysis and both qualitative and quantitative analysis.

• Proficient in analyzing logs and security events and conducting digital forensic investigations.

• Experience in managing vulnerabilities and overseeing update processes and the configuration of security systems.

• Analytical skills to identify and classify vulnerabilities and risks based on severity.

• Proficient in utilizing forensic analysis tools and security monitoring solutions.

• Understanding of vulnerability, configuration, and patch management processes for security systems.

• Ability to convert technical findings into clear and concise reports for leadership.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with cross-functional teams.

• Basic to intermediate understanding of security regulations and compliance requirements.
