This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Spearhead the ATO initiatives for new applications, products, and cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, and Google.
• Oversee and validate cybersecurity policies, procedures, and risk mitigation strategies for both on-site and networked systems.
• Detect security threats, vulnerabilities, and risks; create and manage Plans of Actions and Milestones (POA&Ms).
• Examine systems for compliance with required security controls, document any non-compliance issues, and formulate mitigation and impact statements.
• Ensure continuous monitoring and update security attributes to maintain ongoing compliance with cybersecurity frameworks.
• Confirm that cybersecurity requirements are satisfied throughout all phases of the Risk Management Framework.
• Conduct cost impact assessments related to cybersecurity risks.
• Facilitate security assessments, audits, and reviews in accordance with federal regulations and agency mandates.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to incorporate system security into IAM systems, applications, SaaS offerings, and cloud platforms.
• Lead and assist security engineering teams in implementing best practices and adhering to security standards.
• Provide support to federal agencies in high-stakes environments.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen capable of obtaining and maintaining the required Public Trust level clearance.
• Bachelor's Degree and 8 years of experience, or a High School diploma/equivalent and 12 years of experience.
• At least 7 years of hands-on experience in Application Security.
• Relevant security certifications such as Security+, CASP, CCISO, CISM, CISSP, CAP, etc.
• AWS Security certification is required.
• Strong technical grasp of IT systems, applications, SaaS products, IAM, and AWS GovCloud security services.
• Experience in federal IT environments supporting business-critical systems.
• Familiarity with agile development processes and security integration.
• Ability to design and lead security training programs and workshops.
• Experience with system security documentation, boundary documents, Authorization Levels (ALs), inherited controls, and compliance requirements.
• Capability to independently resolve intricate technical security challenges.
• In-depth knowledge of current technological advancements in cybersecurity and computer engineering.
• Strong understanding of federal cybersecurity mandates.
• Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks with strict deadlines in a large-scale, highly available environment.
• Technical experience in Information Technology with a focus on system security.
• Eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
