Cyber Security Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.

📋 Description

• Provide guidance to clients on cyber security strategies, governance, risk management, and compliance initiatives.

• Offer cyber security expertise throughout the lifecycle of a significant transport infrastructure project.

• Execute cyber security risk assessments, threat modeling exercises, and security evaluations.

• Deliver security architecture and secure-by-design advice across enterprise, cloud, hybrid, and operational technology settings.

• Evaluate compliance with Essential Eight, ISM, PSPF, ISO 27001, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, and critical infrastructure requirements.

• Create security recommendations, roadmaps, remediation plans, and assurance documentation.

• Engage in design workshops, technical reviews, and activities for stakeholder engagement.

• Communicate findings and recommendations to both technical and executive audiences.

• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary project teams.

• Foster business growth through client interactions, proposal development, and identifying new opportunities.

• Contribute to the development of cyber security methodologies, tools, and best practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in providing cyber security consulting, advisory, risk, compliance, or assurance services.

• Familiarity with cyber security frameworks, standards, and regulatory requirements.

• Demonstrated experience in conducting cyber security risk assessments and crafting effective risk treatment strategies.

• Comprehension of security architecture principles and secure-by-design methodologies.

• Capability to analyze complex issues and clearly communicate security concepts to varied audiences.

• Strong skills in stakeholder management and relationship development.

• Previous experience in critical infrastructure, transport, utilities, government, defense, operational technology (OT), or intricate technology environments is highly valued.
