Cyber Security Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Africa.

📋 Description

• Formulate a strategic and practical perspective on enterprise security.

• Execute comprehensive security evaluations, which include vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and red team operations.

• Evaluate both client-facing and internal environments.

• Produce technical documentation.

• Manage various projects across diverse industries.

• Work collaboratively with the Corsaire security team and clients.

• Provide recommendations on mitigating identified vulnerabilities and implementing cutting-edge security measures.

• Articulate complex technical matters to a range of audiences, from executives and senior management to engineers and technical specialists.

• Support multiple stakeholders, ensuring prompt responses and timely follow-ups.

• Deliver technical insights and serve as an industry expert in high-pressure scenarios.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 3 years of professional experience in a related role.

• Experience in a consultative environment with both internal and external clients.

• Strong skills in project management and prioritization.

• Knowledge of security assessment tools, techniques, and methodologies.

• Good understanding of network protocols and services.

• Working knowledge of Windows and POSIX-based operating systems.

• Experience in programming or scripting.

• Proficiency with standard Office applications.

• Familiarity with cryptographic concepts and technologies.

• Capability to absorb intricate technical information and communicate it effectively to various technical and business audiences.

• Excellent written English skills necessary for client interactions and technical reporting.

• Ability to obtain SC or DV (Security Clearance) if necessary.

• CREST CRT or a higher-level CREST qualification is preferred.

• A Bachelor’s degree in a Scientific, Engineering, or Technical discipline or equivalent is desirable.

• Offensive Security OSCP certification is a plus.

• Postgraduate studies or qualifications in a related field are advantageous.

• Experience in detailed cryptanalysis or cryptographic work is preferred.

• Knowledge of non-IP protocols is desirable.

• Experience with enterprise operating systems and platforms, including iSeries, Solaris, and VMWare ESX, is a plus.

• Familiarity with source code review and QA processes is advantageous.
