Cyber Security Analyst I – Wednesday to Saturday, Noon to 10p ET shift

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.

📋 Description

• Oversee and assess cybersecurity alerts within client environments.

• Analyze suspicious activities and elevate potential threats.

• Assist in incident response efforts and security investigations.

• Evaluate phishing, spam, and other email security issues.

• Support endpoint security, validate patching, and track remediation.

• Record findings and ensure security tickets are accurately maintained.

• Adhere to established security protocols, playbooks, and escalation procedures.

• Work collaboratively with team members during shift transitions and ongoing investigations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Associate or Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

• 0-2 years of experience in IT or cybersecurity.

• Fundamental knowledge of Windows, networking, and common cyber threats.

• Familiarity with Active Directory and user account management is advantageous.

• CompTIA Security+ certification (or the ability to obtain it within a specified timeframe).

• Strong attention to detail, curiosity, and a desire to learn.

• Experience in IT Help Desk or Technical Support roles.

• Background in Security Operations Centers (SOC).

• Experience with endpoint protection or monitoring tools.

• Knowledge of vulnerability management or patching.

• Familiarity with basic networking and system administration.
