Customer Project Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Italy.

📋 Description

• Oversee customer projects from the point of contract transfer through to delivery, installation, commissioning, acceptance, and project closure.

• Guarantee project delivery aligns with the defined scope, timeline, budget, and quality standards.

• Evaluate sales inputs, contracts, customer needs, technical specifications, and project assumptions.

• Proactively identify gaps, dependencies, risks, and escalation issues.

• Facilitate coordination among customers and internal teams across Sales, Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics, Service, and external partners.

• Offer practical technical insights on the execution of recycling projects, site readiness, installation requirements, plant layout, and intricate project matters.

• Track project progress, payment milestones, budget status, cost variances, and post-cost evaluations.

• Ensure prompt follow-up and escalation as necessary.

• Maintain comprehensive project documentation, closure reports, and handover processes to Service.

• Document lessons learned and promote continuous improvement in project execution, customer satisfaction, and internal processes.

• Serve as the trusted steward of the customer journey, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction with minimal escalations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Native proficiency in Italian.

• Strong professional command of English.

• Residing in Italy, ideally with convenient access to a major airport.

• Willingness to travel around 50%, including both domestic and occasional international trips.

• Background in project management, industrial project coordination, technical customer support, field service, plant operations, recycling, machinery, or a similar industrial setting.

• Competence in reading and interpreting technical drawings and understanding technical project documentation.

• Proficient in using ERP, CRM, project management software, and standard reporting tools.

• Degree in a technical or engineering discipline such as Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Environmental Process Engineering, Recycling Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related field; equivalent relevant professional experience may also be accepted.

• Capability to plan, coordinate, follow up on, and escalate project tasks effectively.

• Customer-centric approach with a clear ability to manage expectations.

• Skilled in collaborating effectively across Sales, Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics, Service, plant builders, partners, and customers within a matrix structure.

• Strong communication skills, adaptability, disciplined follow-up, and effective risk escalation.

• Understanding of technical project requirements, drawings, installation logic, and site preparation processes.
