Customer Engineering Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Manage and nurture customer relationships while engaging with both technical and business stakeholders.

• Facilitate technical discovery and the design of solutions.

• Convert customer inquiries into actionable engineering specifications and tickets.

• Oversee the delivery process from intake to acceptance, managing owners, milestones, dependencies, risks, and validation.

• Analyze technical challenges by reviewing on-chain transactions, contract states, API responses, and logs.

• Duplicate issues and create scripts or integration examples for troubleshooting.

• Standardize the launch and operation of vaults, including intake requirements, configuration decisions, launch checklists, documentation, and operational transitions.

• Ensure ongoing customer success, adoption, satisfaction, adaptation to changing requirements, incident communication, and corrective measures.

• Utilize AI tools for research, debugging, specification development, documentation, and workflow automation.

• Develop the customer engineering function and enhance repeatable delivery processes.

• Collaborate closely with engineering, product, and growth teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven history of managing complex customer engagements in a technical capacity, such as customer engineering, solutions engineering, integration engineering, forward-deployed engineering, or technical consulting.

• Strong foundational knowledge in DeFi and Web3, including smart contracts, wallets, token approvals, vaults, lending, liquidity, and the mechanics of deposits and withdrawals.

• Practical experience with block explorers and blockchain-related tools.

• Proficiency in analyzing transactions and events, interpreting contract interfaces and relevant Solidity code, and reasoning about permissions and asset transfers.

• Solid software engineering capabilities with APIs and SDKs.

• Ability to navigate an unfamiliar codebase and write scripts in Python, TypeScript, or a similar programming language.

• Competence in investigating issues within both on-chain and off-chain systems.

• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.

• Strong execution abilities and organizational judgment.

• Capability to transform ambiguous requests into actionable plans, prioritize competing demands, and drive projects to completion across teams.

• Confidence in setting realistic expectations and constructively challenging assumptions.

• Experience applying AI tools in practical workflows, with the technical discernment to assess and correct their outputs.

• Experience in building or supporting DeFi vaults, institutional crypto integrations, or products related to lending, staking, or cross-chain infrastructure is a plus.

• Background working directly with exchanges, wallets, asset managers, or other enterprise crypto clients is advantageous.

• Experience in creating implementation playbooks, intake systems, or automation processes is a plus.

• Experience in delivering production software or smart contracts and providing post-launch support is an advantage.
