Customer Engineer, German Speaking

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Act as the main technical liaison for enterprise clients.

• Promptly address customer inquiries through Slack or video calls, managing the resolution process from start to finish.

• Oversee the technical onboarding of customers, including setup, configuration, and integration with Zendesk, Intercom, HubSpot, and additional tools.

• Identify and resolve intricate issues within live customer environments.

• Apply fixes, enhance integrations, and develop minor features in the Node.js and TypeScript codebase.

• Collaborate with Product Engineering by providing customer insights, escalating systemic issues, and aiding in development prioritization.

• Develop expertise in AI agents and prompt engineering to guide customers in optimizing their support operations.

• Record recurring issues, solutions, and integration practices to enhance internal knowledge and resources for customers.

⛳️ Requirements

• Native or professional proficiency in German (both spoken and written).

• 2–3+ years of substantial experience in software engineering.

• Proficiency in Node.js and TypeScript, including the ability to write and deploy production code.

• Practical experience with AI agents and prompt engineering.

• Previous experience in a customer-facing technical role, such as onboarding or troubleshooting integrations, within a SaaS setting.

• Solid understanding of, or the capability to quickly learn, helpdesk APIs such as Zendesk, Intercom, and HubSpot.

• Exceptional English communication skills, including clear writing and confident speaking during video calls with enterprise stakeholders.

• Capability to operate efficiently in a dynamic startup environment.

• Ability to engage with customers across US, EU, MENA, and GCC time zones.
