Customer Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Africa.

📋 Description

• Install, repair, and maintain ATM hardware along with associated devices.

• Generate and uphold performance/activity reports for equipment and implement modifications.

• Provide maintenance services for multiple vendors.

• Nurture daily customer relationships and inform clients about equipment modifications.

• Diagnose issues utilizing assigned call information and discussions with customers.

• Manage customer concerns through to resolution in accordance with SLA commitments.

• Record stock movements and callout information daily via the mobile application.

• Relay status updates through electronic call notes throughout the day.

• Interact with customers and third-party service providers both over the phone and in person.

• Travel across South Africa to service, install, and repair ATMs and related devices.

• Troubleshoot sophisticated modules.

• Utilize product-line knowledge, policies, procedures, and diagnostic methods.

• Enhance sales and lead-generation capabilities.

• Adhere to conflict-resolution and escalation protocols.

⛳️ Requirements

• Grade 12 or an equivalent NQF 4 qualification.

• National Diploma in Electrical Engineering.

• Comptia A+ Certification is a plus.

• Essential prior technical experience in the ATM or related sector: 3–5 years.

• Proficient in computer usage.

• Fluent in English.

• Valid South African Driving License (Code B/8).

• Complete NCR-specific certification as per business/district requirements and assigned areas.

• Fulfill business/district-specific training as directed by a manager.

• Availability for standby shifts on weekends, public holidays, or weekend work when necessary.

• Willingness and capability to travel within South Africa.

• Strong communication skills.

• Self-motivated and disciplined.

• Customer-oriented and a team player.
