This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Act as a specialized technical advisor for Scout AI clients utilizing capabilities facilitated by Fury, guiding them from the initial discovery phase to full deployment.
• Collaborate internally across various teams to ensure customer success.
• Work alongside account executives and solutions architects to convert customer missions and business requirements into effective technical solutions.
• Shape technical architecture decisions and influence customer product strategy through tailored pilots, prototypes, and evaluation suites.
• Conduct hands-on technical workshops and reviews in partnership with customer engineering teams.
• Recruit, mentor, and lead an expanding customer engineering team.
• Establish playbooks and processes that enhance the GTM engineering function.
• Recognize common design patterns and provide valuable insights to Product and Engineering teams.
• Develop scalable public and internal resources documenting prompting, evaluation, agentic, and architectural techniques for Scout AI foundational models.
• Stay informed about LLM, VLM, VLA, and robotic foundational model capabilities, implementation strategies, and AI product development stacks.
• Occasionally travel to customer locations for workshops, implementation assistance, and relationship development.
• Participate in conferences, lead speaking engagements, and author blog posts and white papers on AI and autonomy.
• A minimum of 4 years of experience in technical roles such as Customer Engineer, Forward Deployed Engineer, Software Engineer, or Technical Product Manager; former technical founders are also welcome to apply.
• Hands-on experience with LLMs, VLMs, and/or VLAs, including advanced prompt engineering, agent development and frameworks, evaluation frameworks, transcript analysis, MCP, and large-scale deployment.
• Strong programming abilities with expertise in JSON, Python, or TypeScript, along with experience in building production applications.
• Capability to navigate uncertainty and execute across various domains with an open-minded approach, simplifying complex problems.
• A collaborative mindset for cross-organizational teamwork, effectively balancing competing priorities with integrity.
• A strong enthusiasm for promoting safe and beneficial AI systems through innovative technical applications.
• Excellent communication skills to articulate technical concepts to diverse stakeholders while maintaining a humble and collaborative demeanor.
• At least a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
• Must be a U.S. Person due to the necessity of accessing U.S. export-controlled information or facilities.
• A passion for the defense of the United States and its allies.
• May be required to obtain and maintain a U.S. Top Secret security clearance.
