Customer Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Africa.

📋 Description

• Install, repair, and maintain ATM hardware and associated devices.

• Generate and uphold reports on equipment performance and activities, along with implementing modifications.

• Provide maintenance services across multiple vendors.

• Foster day-to-day customer relationships, inform customers about equipment updates, and escalate any issues as necessary.

• Diagnose issues by utilizing assigned call information and discussions with customers to identify all problems at the site.

• Take ownership of customer issues and ensure their resolution in accordance with SLA agreements.

• Daily process stock movements and callout details using the mobile app.

• Relay status updates through electronic call notes throughout the day.

• Interact with customers and third-party service providers via telephone and in person.

• Travel across South Africa to service, install, and repair ATMs and related devices.

• Participate in the standby roster during weekends, public holidays, or weekend shifts as necessary.

• Utilize working knowledge of assigned product lines, policies, procedures, and fundamental diagnostic techniques.

• Cultivate sales and lead-generation capabilities.

• Troubleshoot advanced modules while adhering to conflict-resolution and escalation processes.

⛳️ Requirements

• Completion of Grade 12 or an NQF 4 Equivalent.

• National Diploma in Electrical Engineering.

• Essential prior technical experience in the ATM or related field: 3–5 years.

• Computer literate.

• Proficient in English.

• Valid South African Driving License (Code B/8).

• CompTIA A+ Certification is a plus.

• Strong communication skills.

• Self-motivated and disciplined.

• Customer-oriented and a team player.

• Complete NCR-specific certification based on business or district needs and assigned areas.

• Undergo business or district-specific training as directed by the manager.
