This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Take ownership of and manage the project BIM Execution Plan, which includes coordinating schedules, model exchange frequencies, federation structure, and approval gates.
• Oversee the federated project model in Navisworks, ensuring proper version control and publishing of coordinated baselines.
• Lead coordination meetings and monitor the resolution of clashes and issues until they are fully addressed.
• Conduct interdisciplinary clash detection involving mechanical, electrical, and CSA models.
• Validate the resolution of clashes and keep track of clash-trending metrics.
• Plan and carry out LIDAR scans, register point clouds, and confirm installed work against the coordinated design.
• Identify deviations, out-of-tolerance installations, and potential downstream conflicts using as-built conditions.
• Preserve scan-to-model workflows for creating accurate as-built models that are suitable for commissioning and operations handover.
• Enable digital layout processes using robotic total stations for structural and installation components.
• Prepare and perform quality checks on model-derived layout points and field packages.
• Assist trade crews in implementing model-based layout practices.
• Coordinate daily with design teams, trade contractors, and the internal VDC team.
• Guide project partners in adhering to IREN’s VDC requirements and address modeling and data-exchange issues.
• Provide feedback on project lessons learned to the corporate VDC team and discipline BIM Specialists.
• At least 8+ years of experience in BIM/VDC coordination on construction projects.
• Experience in datacenter, mission-critical, or heavy industrial environments is highly preferred.
• Essential to have site-based coordination experience.
• Expert-level proficiency with Navisworks for federation and clash management.
• Strong working knowledge of Revit.
• Experience with BIM 360/ACC, Navisworks, or Revizto is strongly preferred.
• Practical experience with reality capture, including planning LIDAR scans, registering point clouds, and incorporating them into coordination workflows using ReCap, Cyclone, or similar software.
• Familiarity with digital layout processes and robotic total stations, such as Trimble, Leica, or Topcon.
• Capability to prepare model-derived layout data for field application.
• Strong understanding of construction sequencing and multi-trade installation methodologies.
• Strong communication skills and field presence to effectively lead coordination meetings and hold trade partners accountable constructively.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Willingness to travel between project sites as necessary.
• Authorization to work in the United States, verified through E-Verify and Form I-9.
