
Cross Border Tax Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Oversee and evaluate tax compliance and planning projects for Canadian and U.S. cross-border clients, including individuals, partnerships, corporations, and estates (T1, T2, 1040, 1065, 5471, 1134, 1135, etc.)
• Offer strategic tax guidance to individuals, corporations, and trusts, particularly focusing on owner-managed enterprises
• Assess intricate tax returns and associated filings for precision and thoroughness
• Investigate and interpret cross-border tax issues, providing solutions to clients and team members
• Foster and sustain robust client relationships as a reliable advisor
• Recognize tax planning prospects and assist in business development efforts
• Lead, mentor, and nurture junior tax professionals
• Oversee various projects while ensuring high quality, efficiency, and timely execution
• CPA designation is mandatory (having both Canadian and U.S. CPA designations would be advantageous)
• 8-10 years of experience in public accounting with an emphasis on Canadian and U.S. cross-border taxation
• Completion or progress in the CPA In-Depth Tax Program is preferred
• Strong technical expertise in Canadian tax laws and U.S. cross-border tax issues
• Experience in reviewing complex tax returns and planning projects
• Demonstrated leadership, client management, and project management capabilities
