Crop Insurance Adjuster

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Initiate contact with policyholders following a farm or ranch loss.

• Conduct field inspections.

• Interpret maps and aerial photographs.

• Measure agricultural fields and storage bins.

• Gather production records for farm commodities.

• Evaluate damage or loss.

• Oversee claims from initiation to resolution and settlement.

• Execute fact-finding to establish causes and extent of loss.

• Apply independent judgment in the management of claims.

• Refer unresolved matters to the Area Claims Supervisor.

• Communicate regulations and procedural clarifications to claimants, agents, and industry participants.

• Articulate the company's stance on emerging industry issues, such as new specialty crops and enhanced coverage programs.

• Broaden understanding of RMA rules, regulations, and ProAg processes related to MPCI, Crop Hail, and Federal Crop Insurance policies.

⛳️ Requirements

• Possession of a high school diploma.

• Experience in crop insurance claims, compliance, or any agriculture-related background.

• Strong analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail.

• Proficiency in basic computer and internet applications.

• Effective communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution abilities.

• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel.

• Capability to work regularly in the field, including on farms, climbing grain bins, and traversing uneven terrain over long distances.

• Willingness to travel up to 75%, and occasionally outside the designated territory.

• Preferred completion of CAPP certification and/or relevant state-agency licenses.
