This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kansas.

📋 Description

• Establish initial contact with policyholders on farms or ranches following a loss event.

• Conduct field inspections, interpret maps and aerial images, measure fields and storage bins, and gather production records.

• Evaluate damage or loss and oversee claims from initiation to settlement.

• Regularly work in the field on farms, which includes climbing grain bins and traversing rough terrain over extended distances.

• Implement ProAg adjusting guidelines and policy provisions related to Multi-Peril Crop Insurance, Crop Hail, and Named Peril policies.

• Perform investigative work to ascertain causes and degrees of loss using independent judgment.

• Elevate unresolved matters to the Area Claims Supervisor.

• Communicate regulations and procedural interpretations to claimants, agents, and industry stakeholders.

• Articulate ProAg's stance on emerging industry topics, including specialty crops and the expansion of coverage programs.

• Enhance understanding of RMA rules, regulations, and ProAg procedures for MPCI, Crop Hail, and Federal Crop Insurance.


⛳️ Requirements

• High school diploma is required.

• Experience in crop insurance related to claims or compliance, or a background in agriculture.

• Strong analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail.

• Proficiency in basic computer and internet applications.

• Effective communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution abilities.

• Reliable transportation and a willingness to travel as needed.

• Capability to work from home while covering a territory in Kansas.

• Willingness to travel up to 75% of the time, occasionally exceeding the assigned territory.

• Ability to work regularly in the field, including climbing grain bins and navigating rough terrain for extended distances.

• Completion of Claim Adjuster Proficiency Program (CAPP) certification and/or relevant licenses required by state agencies is preferred.
