Crisis Specialist – Call, Swing/Graveyard Shift

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Deliver compassionate and impartial crisis intervention through phone communication.

• Perform assessments for suicide risk and behavioral health concerns.

• Assist in de-escalating crisis situations.

• Work in collaboration with on-duty clinicians when more intensive intervention is required.

• Create safety and action plans with individuals experiencing crises.

• Link callers to suitable community resources and crisis response partners.

• Ensure accurate documentation of interactions in the electronic health record system.

• Adhere to established 988 Lifeline protocols and performance benchmarks.

• Contribute towards team objectives related to response times, availability, and quality of care.

⛳️ Requirements

• High school diploma or GED with four (4) years of full-time behavioral health experience, or a combination of education and experience: Bachelor’s degree plus 1 year of Behavioral Health experience, or Associate degree plus 2 years of Behavioral Health experience.

• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.

• Capability to multitask across various software platforms in a dynamic environment.

• Ability to remain focused and composed during emotionally charged discussions.

• Agency Affiliated Counselor (AAC) credential must be obtained by the end of the probationary period; applications need to be submitted within 30 days of hiring.

• Experience in crisis intervention or suicide prevention.

• Background in behavioral health or contact center operations.

• Familiarity with the King County and Washington State public mental health systems.

• Must reside in Washington, Arizona, Ohio, or Texas.

• Reliable high-speed internet connection via a wired setup; no hotspots or satellite connections allowed.

• Smartphone capable of utilizing Microsoft Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA).

• A quiet and private workspace conducive to confidential conversations.

• Ability to sit and use a headset for extended durations.

• A brief computer skills assessment is required as part of the hiring procedure.
