This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado, +4 more states.
• Handle incoming calls from individuals seeking support, services, or those who may be experiencing a crisis.
• Conduct safety screenings and assessments to evaluate the level of risk to the individual or others.
• Utilize caller information and screening results to assess needs and collaboratively develop a plan of action.
• Ensure timely and precise documentation of interactions following established criteria.
• Provide follow-up linkage to guarantee individuals access necessary services.
• Collaborate with agencies, organizations, and individuals to maximize resources, services, and natural support systems.
• Maintain compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and other federal, state, and local regulations.
• Deliver telephonic intervention and de-escalation for helpline callers according to established protocols.
• Operate within a 24-hour call center across various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of experience in behavioral health, or a minimum of 6 months of direct crisis experience involving screenings and assessments to determine suitable interventions.
• Any combination of education and experience that provides an equivalent background.
• Capability to perform safety screenings and assessments.
• Familiarity with behavioral health crisis intervention and de-escalation protocols.
• Proficiency in completing accurate documentation.
• Ability to adhere to HIPAA, OSHA, and federal, state, and local regulations.
• A BS/BA degree in a mental health or other human services field is strongly preferred.
• Two years of direct experience working with individuals requiring behavioral health services is strongly preferred.
• Call center experience is preferred.
• Crisis experience is preferred.
• Flexibility to work all shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Availability to complete training Monday through Friday, from 8:00am to 4:30pm PST for 4 weeks.
