Crisis Care Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Conduct brief clinical screenings, risk assessments, safety planning, crisis intervention, and appropriate service linkage for individuals facing an acute mental health crisis.

• Provide telephonic clinical screenings, risk assessments, means restriction, and crisis intervention to callers.

• Perform outreach calls to individuals evaluated by mobile crisis teams to enhance safety.

• Adhere to ethical and clinical standards in alignment with accreditation requirements.

• Participate in team meetings, in-service training, supervision, and quality assurance training.

• Deliver exceptional customer service and maintain professional etiquette.

• Facilitate service linkage and referrals for programs, services, and community resources.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, community organizations, hospitals, mental health consumers, and the general public.

• Assist with administrative tasks as necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Behavioral Science, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field, or certification as a Peer Recovery Specialist is required.

• One year of experience is preferred.

• Proficient in written, verbal, in-person, and virtual communication.

• Knowledgeable and skilled in providing service linkage and referrals for programs, services, and additional community resources.

• Availability for the specified shifts.

• Physical requirements include sitting – 80%; standing – 20%; occasional squatting, kneeling, bending, driving, and lifting.
