This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Lead and cultivate a team of credit operations analysts while establishing a strategic vision for scalable, high-quality operations.
• Convert product strategies into operational capabilities and appropriate credit controls.
• Collaborate with Credit Strategy, Product, Engineering, and Data Science to initiate new programs and enhance AI-driven automation within Credit Operations.
• Set team priorities, objectives, work plans, and operating frameworks that align with Credit’s overall strategy.
• Enhance systems, processes, and the operating model to improve decision-making quality, mitigate emerging risks, and scale efficiently.
• Evaluate credit and operational impacts of both new and existing Stripe products, preparing Credit Operations for launch and ongoing support.
• Partner with Risk leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to focus on risk mitigation, operational efficiency, and investments in user experience.
• Test and implement automation utilizing AI-driven tools with established quality controls and change management practices.
• Define and manage operating metrics and service-level agreements; leverage performance insights and root-cause analysis to drive enhancements.
• Supervise credit-related vendor performance, ensuring adherence to quality and compliance standards.
• Assess capability needs and collaborate on hiring, workforce planning, and development strategies.
• Inspire, coach, and provide constructive feedback to the Credit Operations team.
• 10-15 years of professional experience in commercial credit underwriting.
• 3-5 years of experience in leading credit risk or underwriting teams in a dynamic, high-growth environment.
• Experience in financial risk modeling or cash-flow forecasting.
• Proven success in building, leading, and developing high-performing teams, including goal setting, performance management, and team member coaching.
• Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities with a knack for turning complex challenges into actionable solutions.
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the capacity to influence across various functions.
• Demonstrated experience in designing, launching, and scaling programs, products, or operational capabilities from planning through implementation and measurement.
• Experience utilizing AI-driven tools and collaborating with technical and operational stakeholders to implement automation, including quality controls, change management, and team adoption.
• A commitment to delivering a user-centered experience while adeptly managing risk.
• Experience in supporting credit-related product launches or translating product capabilities into operational requirements, workflows, controls, and launch-readiness plans.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and experience in evaluating financial statements and business models across various industries.
• Proficiency in data analysis and dashboard creation using SQL.
• Experience collaborating with engineering teams to develop or enhance investigative and decision-making tools.
