Credit Officer II – SBA

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.

📋 Description

• Evaluate and make decisions on small business loan applications within a centralized environment for complex loans.

• Deliver loan decisions and/or credit recommendations in line with all underwriting standards.

• Work in partnership with the Sales team to create loan structures that align with customer needs and the organization's risk appetite.

• Support and guide colleagues throughout the loan decision-making process.

• Analyze financial statements based on the information included in the loan application package.

• Assess global cash flow and balance sheets for SBA loans up to $5 million.

• Draft written evaluations of clients' financial situations and future forecasts, pinpointing risks and strategies for mitigation.

• Guide and mentor team members in Credit and Portfolio Monitoring.

• Discover opportunities and propose solutions for enhancing processes and software development.

• Identify and assess all necessary due diligence requirements.

• Negotiate loan terms and conditions with loan originators and convey loan decisions effectively.

• Identify, evaluate, manage, monitor, and report risks while operating within the risk appetites of Provide and Fifth Third Bank.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of two (2) years of experience in underwriting, portfolio monitoring, or related business loan analysis.

• Fundamental understanding of commercial lending and credit standards, policies, procedures, and products.

• Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational capabilities.

• Ability to articulate concepts clearly both verbally and in written form.

• Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications.

• A degree in accounting, finance, or economics is advantageous.
