This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Ensure the accuracy of provider information by entering, updating, and auditing data within credentialing systems.
• Oversee recredentialing activities, which include sending recredentialing communications and tracking provider responses.
• Engage with providers to gather missing documentation, address discrepancies, and guarantee comprehensive credentialing files.
• Perform primary source verification for both initial credentialing and recredentialing applications.
• Monitor and follow up on outstanding credentialing requirements to facilitate timely processing and compliance.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to maintain accurate, complete, and compliant provider records.
• Contribute to ongoing improvement initiatives that enhance credentialing processes and data integrity.
• Report to the Credentialing leadership team.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in supporting provider credentialing, healthcare operations, provider enrollment, or administrative tasks.
• Background in maintaining and updating data within databases or business systems.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to data precision.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Capability to adhere to established processes and regulatory standards.
• Strong organizational skills and effective time management.
• Ability to juggle multiple priorities in a deadline-driven setting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Outlook.
• Familiarity with provider credentialing and recredentialing processes.
• Knowledge of NCQA, CMS, state, or other healthcare regulatory standards.
• Experience in conducting primary source verification activities.
• Familiarity with credentialing software or provider management systems.
• Understanding of healthcare provider networks and credentialing standards.
