This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +2 more locations.
β’ Identify and curate outstanding artists by evaluating applications, conducting research, and creating prioritized shortlists.
β’ Conduct video interviews to evaluate artistic skill, communication, teaching capabilities, studio environment, hospitality, reliability, and alignment with VAWAA.
β’ Establish rapport with potential artists, comprehend their motivations and concerns, outline next steps, and facilitate their journey towards joining.
β’ Design engaging multi-day VAWAA experiences featuring artists.
β’ Balance artistic authenticity, guest preferences, and business sustainability.
β’ Review submissions, pinpoint deficiencies, research context, and craft and refine artist profiles and experience descriptions.
β’ Choose images that effectively convey the artist, their process, and their location.
β’ Oversee contracts, content, approvals, follow-ups, and launch timelines.
β’ Enhance screening, research, prioritization, follow-up, onboarding, and artist-launch systems.
β’ Utilize AI and automation judiciously while maintaining human insight and personal connections.
β’ Aim to launch approximately 20β30 exceptional artists within the 3β4 month pilot period.
β’ Develop a repeatable process that supports 8β10+ high-quality launches each month with reduced involvement from the Founder.
β’ Identify obstacles and suggest necessary hires or systems for scaling.
β’ Background in architecture, interior architecture, industrial or product design, or another field demonstrating a comprehension of materials, production, creative processes, and visual aesthetics.
β’ Approximately 6+ years of relevant professional experience preferred or expected.
β’ At least 2β3 years of professional experience in a fast-paced, high-standard creative environment such as a design or advertising agency, multidisciplinary studio, technology firm, or creative startup.
β’ Experience in a computer-based role that demands responsiveness, self-direction, and dependable delivery.
β’ Expertise in relationship management through outreach, partnerships, onboarding, account management, or client support.
β’ Capacity to manage multiple relationships concurrently.
β’ Commercial awareness of guest demand, pricing, positioning, and compelling experiences.
β’ Proficient writing, editing, and visual judgment skills.
β’ Experience maintaining a CRM and establishing project timelines.
β’ Familiarity with using AI and automation to coordinate projects, develop workflows, manage information, or enhance team productivity.
β’ Diligent execution, effective prioritization, and attention to detail.
β’ Independent decision-making ability and a sense of ownership.
β’ Willingness to accept feedback.
β’ Cultural sensitivity, curiosity, and alignment with the mission.
β’ Comfort with hands-on creative and operational tasks.
β’ Sufficient capacity during the 3β4 month pilot to manage the scope and achieve agreed outcomes.
β’ Must be available to work New York hours and reside in the US/Canada time zones.
β’ $7-$8K/month paid consulting engagement during the 3β4 month pilot.
β’ 0.25%β0.5% equity or profit-sharing options.
