
Creative Design Lead – Marketing Campaigns

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Develop marketing creative for DuckDuckGo’s offerings, including Duck.ai, search, browsers, and subscriptions.
• Create and oversee creative campaigns, such as those promoting App Tracking Protection on Android.
• Design marketing material to support the launch and expansion of Duck.ai.
• Take complete ownership of design projects from initial concept to execution across multiple simultaneous campaigns.
• Deliver high-quality, on-brand creative work with minimal oversight.
• Provide guidance to other designers on marketing and brand implementation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders during the scoping and ideation phases.
• Refresh DuckDuckGo’s brand language with innovative creative ideas.
• Establish reusable systems to enhance the efficiency of marketing production.
• Offer insights on brand and marketing design throughout the team.
• Participate in video-conferenced meetings with the camera on.
• Travel a minimum of twice a year for an all-hands meeting and team retreat.
• Over 9 years of practical experience in marketing or advertising design at a well-known consumer-facing brand, either in-house or at an agency.
• A portfolio showcasing versatility, depth, strong execution, and a unique creative perspective.
• Advanced skills in typography, color theory, and composition.
• Strong working knowledge of Figma and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Outstanding creativity, aesthetic judgment, and design intuition.
• Demonstrated ability to generate original ideas and guide creative direction for marketing campaigns across conceptual and strategic execution.
• Capacity to manage projects from start to finish with minimal oversight, including scoping, stakeholder alignment, creative direction, and delivery.
• Impact-driven mindset using both qualitative and quantitative insights to guide design choices.
• Capability to generate ideas, explore various creative avenues, and inspire colleagues.
• Proficiency in clearly articulating ideas through written project scopes that define the problem, user impact, and proposed solutions.
• Experience in advising or mentoring other designers is an advantage.
• Must attend meetings on camera via video conferencing.
• Must successfully pass a background check as a condition of employment.
• Average full-time commitment of 40 hours per week.
