Country Manager – Heart Failure

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Oversee Abbott’s Heart Failure division throughout the UK and Ireland

• Take ownership of sales revenue, profitability, and market expansion across Heart Failure teams and product categories

• Analyze market dynamics within the product area and pinpoint opportunities for market-share growth

• Create strategic objectives and operational plans aimed at increasing sales and profits

• Design and implement market-growth initiatives and enhance market access for Abbott's Heart Failure technologies

• Build and lead a high-performing organization, including management of distributors

• Recruit, train, mentor, and develop team members

• Articulate sales vision, strategy, and objectives effectively

• Deliver market insights, forecasts, business reports, and information streams to senior management

• Interact with external influencers, including Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), reference centers, procurement, and hospital/trust management

• Work in collaboration with Market Access and Health Economics & Outcomes Research (HE&R) to formulate local execution strategies

• Support strategic and operational planning processes while developing organizational structures and sales strategies

• Devise sales tactics for accounts and engage in customer sales visits, providing coaching to the field team

• Oversee budgets and take prompt actions in response to forecasts and targets

⛳️ Requirements

• Degree-level education or equivalent professional experience

• Proven leadership experience, preferably within the medical devices sector

• Previous involvement in pathway or therapy development

• Demonstrated experience in budget management

• Results-driven mindset

• Strong problem-solving skills

• Capable of making decisive decisions

• Willingness and ability to travel up to 75% of the time

• Competence in operating a personal vehicle or company car, truck, or powered material handling equipment
