This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in China.
• Lead the recruitment of international students to Swinburne University of Technology from China and assist with recruitment efforts for the Malaysia campus.
• Attract high-quality international students for various courses at the SUT Melbourne campuses.
• Advocate for SUT’s value proposition and student experience while safeguarding the University’s reputation and risk profile.
• Facilitate China education articulation arrangements, manage agents, engage in school recruitment, build educational partnerships, maintain sponsor relationships, and oversee direct sales channels.
• Generate new leads and enhance conversion rates from leads to applications and accepted offers to enrollments.
• Identify emerging opportunities for student recruitment across Melbourne and Malaysia offerings, utilizing digital technology.
• Execute sales and recruitment initiatives to drive international student enrollments and meet annual recruitment goals.
• Develop and support university articulation partnerships and pathway programs.
• Organize online and in-person Open Days, information seminars, and conversion workshops.
• Collaborate with Future Students and Marketing teams on digital recruitment strategies, social media outreach, brand development, and lead acquisition.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of SUT products and processes to provide accurate guidance to prospective students.
• Utilize the CRM to manage qualified leads across direct, agency, and partner channels to facilitate conversions.
• Prepare quarterly activity plans and monthly reports, including market updates and travel expenditures.
• Train and inform SUT international agents and school counselors, ensuring compliance with Australian and international regulations.
• Stay informed about the ESOS Act, DIBP regulations, AVCC National Code, and Privacy legislation.
• Develop a thorough understanding of Chinese education systems, qualifications, pathways, and admission criteria.
• Generate performance data, evaluation reports, market insights, and recommendations regarding recruitment, agents, and competitor activities.
• Conduct research and analyze qualifications and experience to uphold University entry standards.
• Assess applications and issue offer letters and eCoEs as needed.
• Monitor visa statuses in PRISMS and engage with students throughout the admissions cycle.
• Provide prompt, accurate, and efficient customer service to students, agents, partners, and both internal and external stakeholders.
• Contribute to recruitment strategies, compliance audits, agent evaluations, promotional materials, and authentic student background checks.
• A completed Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, or extensive relevant experience and specialized expertise, or a combination of relevant experience and/or education/training totaling 5–10 years.
• In-depth knowledge of international student recruitment and/or admissions processes.
• Ability to quickly grasp SUT’s offerings, courses, policies, and procedures.
• Experience engaging with international students and managing stakeholder relationships, utilizing a Customer Relationship Management system while successfully closing sales with this demographic.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, capable of fostering positive relationships with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders from various cultural backgrounds.
• Influencing abilities that lead to successful business outcomes.
• Competence in creating high-quality documentation, including reports, plans, policies, and correspondence.
• Strong analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail, with the capacity to assess and interpret complex data and make admissions evaluations.
• Proven track record of meeting deadlines, achieving target outcomes, and independently resolving issues using sound judgment, flexibility, and initiative.
• Demonstrated ability to cultivate and sustain effective relationships with colleagues and clients of all levels and backgrounds while providing responsive customer service.
• Proficient English communication skills and fluency in Mandarin.
• Valid passport and willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
• Knowledge and demonstrated skills in customer relationship management systems (desirable).
• Familiarity with StudyLink Connect platforms (desirable).
• Experience using Chinese social media tools such as WeChat and Red (desirable).
• Background in customer acquisition, engagement, and conversion strategies (desirable).
• Understanding of nurture marketing, the student decision-making process, and future student lifecycles (desirable).
• Proficiency in other Chinese languages and dialects or North Asian languages (desirable).
• Availability to work evenings and weekends, and travel extensively in China and abroad as required.
• Performance-related pay may be contingent upon the successful achievement of KPIs, as outlined in the signed contract.
