This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Morocco.
• Oversee the Morocco country team, which includes five freelance representatives.
• Create and execute the Country Impact Plan aligned with PUM’s mission, strategic goals, and organizational aspirations.
• Enhance business ecosystems via strategic analysis and alignment with PUM initiatives.
• Forge partnerships with entrepreneurs, business organizations, and other supportive entities.
• Identify, cultivate, and secure funding from institutional donors, foundations, corporate partners, and sponsors.
• Develop strategic partnerships with SMEs and stakeholders through proactive account management and ongoing engagement.
• Build, manage, and mentor the team of country representatives.
• Ensure the team's capacity, motivation, accountability, performance, quality, and continuity of acquisition.
• Facilitate country team meetings.
• Assess potential clients using criteria related to diversity, inclusion, and green and social objectives.
• Approve project proposals and ensure the information provided for expert matching is accurate and complete.
• Collaborate with program managers and other departments to guarantee project success.
• Occasionally welcome and accompany visiting experts.
• Engage with clients post-acquisition to ensure continuity, quality, and strategic alignment.
• Conduct briefing and debriefing sessions for quality assurance, data collection, and learning.
• Monitor performance, share data-driven insights, and enhance outcomes.
• Ensure adherence to organizational policies, quality standards, and project timelines.
• Report to the head of the region and work closely with the Africa regional team, country managers, program managers, recruitment, and communications and partnerships departments.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in a coordinating position and leading a commercial or acquisition-focused team.
• Strong local SME network and a profound understanding of business ecosystem development in Morocco.
• Familiarity with European work culture and experience in remote collaboration within international organizations.
• Excellent intercultural communication abilities.
• Demonstrated leadership and accountability skills, including performance management and stakeholder engagement.
• Proven experience in managing a remote team across Morocco.
• Willingness to travel occasionally within Morocco for project development visits, partnership meetings, and country team meetings.
• Strong emphasis on impact, quality, and measurable outcomes.
• Data-oriented and proficient in using digital tools, including Microsoft 365.
• Fluent in English.
• Proficient in French and ideally fluent in Arabic.
• Must be permanently based in Morocco.
• Available for 30 hours per week.

• Reference checks and a declaration of good conduct are required as part of the selection process.
• Independent contractor role with an expected commitment of around 30 hours per week, totaling up to 1,440 hours per year.
• Initial one-year contract with the potential for extension based on organizational needs and successful collaboration.
