This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mali.
• Oversee the country teams in Mali and Burkina Faso, which includes four freelance country representatives.
• Manage client relationships post-acquisition, ensuring ongoing quality, continuity, and strategic alignment.
• Create and execute the Country Impact Plan in accordance with PUM’s mission, strategy, and organizational goals.
• Enhance business ecosystems through strategic analysis and PUM programs.
• Form partnerships with entrepreneurs, business organizations, and other supportive entities.
• Identify, cultivate, and secure funding opportunities from institutional donors, foundations, corporate partners, and sponsors.
• Promote strategic partnerships with SMEs and stakeholders through proactive account management.
• Build, lead, and mentor the country representative team.
• Ensure team capability, motivation, accountability, and performance, including organizing country team meetings.
• Evaluate new clients using diversity, inclusion, green-goal, and social-goal assessment criteria.
• Approve project proposals and guarantee that comprehensive information is available for expert matching.
• Work collaboratively with program managers to align objectives and deliver successful projects.
• Welcome and guide visiting experts as necessary.
• Facilitate client engagement, briefing, and debriefing sessions.
• Monitor performance, leverage data to share insights, and enhance results.
• Ensure adherence to organizational policies, quality standards, and project timelines.
• Report to the head of the region and collaborate with Africa regional teams and other departments.
• Bachelor's or master's degree.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in a coordinating role and leading a commercial or acquisition-focused team.
• Strong local SME network and profound understanding of business ecosystem development in Mali.
• Familiarity with European work culture and remote collaboration in international organizations.
• Excellent intercultural communication skills.
• Demonstrated leadership and accountability skills, including performance management and stakeholder engagement.
• Experience managing a remote team operating nationwide.
• Willingness to travel occasionally within Mali and Burkina Faso.
• Strong focus on impact, quality, and measurable results.
• Data-driven and proficient in using digital tools, including Microsoft 365.
• Excellent command of English.
• Fluent in French.
• Permanently based in Mali.
• Available for 30 hours per week.
• Reference checks and a declaration of good conduct are required as part of the selection process.
